Mile Zero Dance Presents: Jam On It, an all styles and ages dance intensive and battle with Afternoon (Mtl) and Kosi (TO) at Spazio Performativo, 10816-95 Street.
Monday – Friday, 10 am – 3 PM: Classes and workshops with Afternoon
The workshop series is open to all levels and focus on a better understanding of various dance styles through:
– Effective training methods and building vocabulary
– Links between the dance and the culture (traditions, terms, origins and meanings)
– Building musical intelligence (rhythms, patterns, musicality, knowledge and repertoire)
– Battling techniques and strategies
Make sure to bring:
A big bottle of water
A small towel
*windbreaker or long sleeve shirt for the breaking class
Saturday Battle w/ DJ: $15 battle / $5 spectator

Dancing for over 10 years, Afternoon represents Mix’d Mafia (Street Dance) and the Deadly Venoms Crew (Breaking) He’s travelled around the world performing, competing and sharing his knowledge and passion for street dances. He’s won numerous dance competitions and represented Canada internationally at various events. Freshly of teaching breaking up north in the Yukon for the Breakdance Yukon Society he’s currently working on improving his craft all while working on opening Canada’s first Hip Hop Cultural Center in Montreal.
Kosi Eze started her training in 2012. Since then, she has been trained in various styles of dance including House, Hip-Hop, Popping, and Locking. Kosi is a valued member of the Rebels De La Soul, Warehouse Jacks, Symbiotic Monsters dance collectives and she is also actively involved with U.N.I.T.Y. Charity & the Mississauga All Elements HUB as an artist educator and program facilitator. Along with representing the Canadian team in two categories for Keep On Dancing International Street Dance competition in Los Angeles, she has extended her reach to dance communities in North America including Vancouver, Chicago, New York, Houston and most recently, the United Kingdom. Kosi Eze continues growing within the Hip-Hop dance community and overall culture locally while striving to represent Canada on an international level.
